This place has some of THE BEST indian food in the Richmond area. Defintitely the best in Glen Allen. I have been multiple (4-5 times) and the consistancy is solid. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. My wife and I like our food quite spicy, which you can opt into more of that if you mention you like it real hot in the order comments. If you like goat, but have a hard time finding a place that can cook it well. LOOK NO FURTHER, their goat curry and biryani is always tender and flavorful.

I love the Ambur biryani and the Kerala chicken fry. This is my go-to spot for evening chai. It’s an easy, convenient, and pocket-friendly restaurant. We also really enjoy the Wednesday dosa night

Absolutely delicious food! The biriyani is a must-try — flavorful, aromatic, and served in generous portions. I also loved the breakfast items, especially the soft idlis paired with their fresh and tasty chutney. The restaurant has ample space for dining, making it a comfortable place for families or groups. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Great quality and quantity for a very reasonable price. And if you’re lucky, you might even get a freebie — I’ve been pleasantly surprised a couple of times! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors in a welcoming atmosphere.

We absolutely love Market Cafe Indian Restaurant! Today we went with our Pickleball team for breakfast, and it was simply outstanding. The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic — every dish was damn yummy and loved by all of us. What makes this place even more special is the people behind it. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure we’re taken care of and that we always have the best experience. Their support for our Pickleball group made us feel like family. Market Cafe is hands down the best go-to place for Indian food in town. We’ll definitely be coming back for more — both for the amazing food and the amazing people. Highly recommend it!

My wife and I tried this place after our friend recommended it for its famous goat biriyani. We went on Wednesday Night and we’re surprised to see the dosa night special where we could get any dosa for $4.99. We got two masala dosa, which were huge and very filling as well as flavorful. Unfortunately, we also made the mistake of ordering chicken biryani and spicy chicken wings on top of that. The spicy chicken wings felt as if they were frozen, but the flavor was really good (won’t dock points for it since it wasn’t advertise as otherwise). The chicken biryani was a 10 out of 10. We’re very happy with our time here and we will definitely be back to try out more dishes. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is a big fan of Indian cuisine.
